The experience in Intentional Girls was way beyond what I was expecting. Walking together with Roselyn Kigen in this mentorship program, I must say was such a privilege. I got to learn so much from her. It was always very overwhelming to see the girls turn up every other Saturday for the sessions. You could see their enthusiasm especially during the interactions. The program was fully packed with various topics plus guest speakers who were also invited. A big thank you too, to the parents for being supportive. We covered a number of topics but the one that stood out for me was Effective Communication. I now know that I need to be assertive and also learn to listen even if I know what the other person is going to say.
